The Lloyds building is certainly one of my favourite bulidings in the world. Its hard to believe that it has been opened in 1986, as the building still arouses strong feelings. Maybe it is like good wine, and only gets better with time.
Lloyds is often confused with a bank, in fact it is an insurance market, where brokers can get their clients' risks insured by over 85 insurers.
They've been around for 323 years insuring for example Titanic, first ever space risk in 1965, both WTC and the two hijacked planes, or Bruce Springsteen's voice.

Stepping into a room straight out of the 18th century, designed by Robert Adam isnt something you would normally expect in this steel and glass building. Lloyds initialy wanted to buy the fireplace, but eventually came back with the whole room. Easy.
To XVIII wieczne wnętrze, zaprojektowane przez Roberta Adama, z pewnością nie jest czymś, czego można się spodziewać w środku tego budynku ze stali i szkła. Lloyds początkowo był zainteresowany kupnem kominka, ale ostatecznie zdecydował się na zakup całego pokoju. Proste.
